A rash of unsolved fires in one normally quiet block in North Tonawanda, including three at one house, has some city residents fearful that a firebug may be targeting them.
None of the fires on Fifth Avenue have caused major damage, and no injuries have been reported, city officials said today.
But authorities said neighbors are concerned because there have been four fires in one small section of the street since early Friday morning. No one has been charged in connection with any of the fires.
The first fire was before 6 a.m. on Friday at 7 Fifth Avenue, and three other fires broke out on Saturday at 19 Fifth Avenue.
Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call North Tonawanda police detectives at 692-4312.
