LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls teenager pleaded guilty Tuesday to breaking into the press box at the football field behind North Tonawanda High School March 9.
Isaish J. Neal, 17, of Ontario Avenue, was admitted to the judicial diversion program of court-supervised drug treatment after pleading guilty to third-degree burglary. County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III warned Neal that he faces up to seven years in prison if he washes out of the treatment program. But if he succeeds, his charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor with a nonjail sentence.
Assistant District Attorney Kevin D. Canali said the plea deal commits Neal to paying $4,275 in restitution for the damage to the press box. Neal said in court July 31 that he was drunk at the time of the crime.
