NIAGARA FALLS – A LaSalle woman was arrested Friday afternoon after police, called to check the welfare of an individual, found her asleep in the driver’s seat of her car in the 2400 block of Forest Avenue.

Jessie-Maria Miller, 21, of 78th Street, reportedly told police she thought it was better to sleep where she was rather than try to drive.

Police found an eyeglass case in Miller’s vehicle containing four hypodermic needles and charged her with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
