NORTH TONAWANDA – As the weather breaks, National Grid will begin utility work in March and continue through April along the roadside of Twin Cities Memorial Highway. Contractor crews from O’Connell Electric Company will remove the wires that cross the highway near the intersection of Wheatfield Street.
The work will cause traffic to be stopped both ways on Twin City Memorial Highway for short durations during the day while work is underway.
Depending on the weather, traffic is expected to be cut down to a single lane on April 8 through 10, in order to remove a tower on the west side of the highway. Traffic control will be handled by Comet Flasher.
