NIAGARA FALLS – The trolley that connects Niagara Falls State Park with the hotels in Niagara Falls will make an additional stop this weekend at the Italian Heritage Festival on Pine Avenue between Portage Avenue and Fifth Street, Assemblyman John D. Ceretto announced Thursday.
The Italian Heritage Festival runs from noon to 10 p.m. today, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.
The trolleys are provided by the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority and are supported by funding from hotels in Niagara Falls. The extra stop at the festival adds no additional costs but has the benefit of providing tourists the chance to visit the festival and create an additional attraction for them, Ceretto said.
The festival will include musical entertainment, a bocce ball tournament, an Italian Mass, a 5-kilometer run, and a grape-stomping competition.
