LOCKPORT – A man whose blood alcohol content was measured at four times the legal threshold for intoxication pleaded guilty Thursday to injuring two people in a crash last year.
Cody Miller, 25, of Divide Road, admitted to second-degree vehicular assault, and Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas committed to sentence him to no more than four years in prison. The legal maximum for the crime is seven years. Farkas will make her decision Jan. 15.
Miller rang up a .32 percent blood alcohol reading after a Nov. 3 collision at Porter and Tuscarora roads in the Town of Niagara. Gary N. Bugyi, 49, of Wheatfield, and his 12-year-old daughter were hurt in the other vehicle, a pickup truck.
