NIAGARA FALLS – As a part of National Health Center Week earlier this month, area officials gathered in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center to recognize the work of the Community Health Center of Niagara, the first federally qualified health center in Niagara Falls.

The Falls center, which opened in 2010 as a satellite location of the Community Health Center of Buffalo, is at 501 10th St.

Rep. Brian Higgins, D-Buffalo; Sheila Kee, Memorial’s chief operating officer; and Al Hammonds of the Community Health Center participated in the afternoon event at the hospital.
