LOCKPORT – Mark W. Reynolds of Niagara Falls was sentenced to a year in jail Friday for violating a woman’s restraining order against him, but he faces more legal trouble in connection with the same woman, Assistant District Attorney Cheryl L. Nichols said.

Reynolds, 43, of 102nd Street, had pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal contempt for an Oct. 13 altercation that came after the woman visited Reynolds’ house and both drank heavily while doing yard work.

Nichols told Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas that fellow prosecutor Lisa M. Baehre is preparing a case against Reynolds, charging him with breaking the woman’s nose in a subsequent encounter. Nichols said recorded phone calls Reynolds made from the County Jail incriminate him in that incident.
