NIAGARA FALLS – A cash-strapped bandit who threatened a bank teller robbed a Niagara Falls branch bank of an undisclosed amount of money early this afternoon, police said.
The robbery was reported at 1:20 p.m. at the First Niagara Bank on Main Street, said Niagara Falls police. The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion, about 5-foot 9-inch tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He appeared to be in his early 20s, wore a mustache and a grey hoodie.
In addition, the bank surveillance photograph indicated the suspect partially hid his face with a camel, black and red plaid scarf that resembled a Burberry.
He displayed no weapon when he handed the teller a threatening note, police said. He escaped on foot.
