LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man who, according to police, allegedly hid a quarter-ounce of crack cocaine in a cast on his leg, was arraigned Friday in Niagara County Court.

Michael A. Lorraine, 26, of LaSalle Avenue, pleaded not guilty to third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The incident allegedly occurred Nov. 19, 2012, although Lorraine wasn’t arrested until three months later, Assistant District Attorney Peter M. Wydysh said. Police said Lorraine had undergone surgery on the leg.

In December 2012, he was grazed in the head by a bullet in a shooting at Highland and Calumet avenues and drove himself to a hospital, police reported.
