NIAGARA FALLS – The city’s Department of Public Works has worked to remove ice buildup on 102nd Street near Colvin Boulevard several times over the past week, the department said Thursday.

A section of the street serves as a runoff spot for an adjacent wooded area. The ice creates a hazard for drivers and is periodically removed, when needed, the department said.

Orange cones, still in place Thursday, marked the area where the work occurred.
