NIAGARA FALLS – The public will have a chance to paint a community mural for Hydraulic Park from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, Pine Avenue and Portage Road.

The new mural will wrap a comfort station that is currently in need of repair. The mural concept was created through student-led brainstorming sessions, and is being facilitated by artist Alec Maslowski.

The program was organized by Niagara Liberty Partnership along with Niagara Falls Community Development, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Niagara University’s ReNU Niagara, the NACC, and the M&T Bank Charitable Foundation.

Materials were donated by the state Department of Health through its Creating Healthy Places Grant, held by Cooperative Extension.

ReNU Niagara coordinated volunteer beautification efforts in the Third Street park, in partnership with the owner, Sheraton Hotel, and Niagara Falls Community Development.
