LOCKPORT – A man who allegedly stole tobacco products twice from a 7-Eleven store on Hyde Park Boulevard in Niagara Falls pleaded not guilty to a two-count indictment Tuesday in Niagara County Court.

Richard W. Walcott, 43, of Virginia Avenue in the Falls, is charged with third-degree robbery and petit larceny.

On March 13, he allegedly grabbed cigarettes off the counter, but on March 23, he was accused of jumping over the counter and forcibly taking a cigar out of the cashier’s hand, making it a robbery, Deputy District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said.
