LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man who allegedly robbed a woman and invaded a home on the night of May 8-9 was arraigned Thursday in Niagara County Court.

Josean A. Rodriguez, 29, of Falls Street, a native of Puerto Rico who has lived in the Falls for about a year, pleaded not guilty through a Spanish-language interpreter.

He is charged with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny in the robbery of a woman outside a 7-Eleven store at 26th and Niagara streets in the Falls shortly before midnight, Deputy District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said. Soon after midnight, Rodriguez allegedly entered a home on Ferry Avenue and robbed the occupant; he is charged with two counts each of first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary in that case.

County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III increased Rodriguez’ bail from $30,000 to $35,000.
