LOCKPORT – A man who allegedly slashed tires on 27 vehicles in the DeVeaux section of Niagara Falls Nov. 6 pleaded not guilty to a five-count felony indictment Thursday in Niagara County Court.

Perry D. Shirback, 25, of 18th Street, is charged with one count of first-degree auto stripping and four counts of third-degree criminal mischief.

Assistant District Attorney Heather A. DeCastro said the incidents whose damage values qualified them as felonies were included in the indictment, which was obtained after Shirback failed to show up for a preindictment plea three weeks in a row back in January. County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III set bail at $15,000.
