LOCKPORT – Asad R. Hixon, charged with choking a Niagara Falls woman during a domestic incident Sept. 3, pleaded guilty Wednesday to having a loaded handgun during the event.

Hixon, 22, of Dudley Avenue, Niagara Falls, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and was scheduled for sentencing Sept. 2 by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas.

Hixon is under indictment in Erie County for allegedly injuring five people by crashing his vehicle into two other autos during a Nov. 3 police chase in downtown Buffalo. Hixon was charged with speeding away after police tried to stop him for not wearing a seat belt.
