LOCKPORT – A Niagara Falls man pleaded guilty Monday in Niagara County Court to selling crack cocaine to an undercover police officer in the Falls last October.

Tyler C. Smith, 20, of LaSalle Avenue, has served five months in the County Jail since being charged in the case. County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III said he will give Smith a one-year sentence, and the time already served will count toward it.

Smith admitted to fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance for the Oct. 7 sale in an apartment on Ontario Avenue. The sentence will be imposed officially on Aug. 27.
