NIAGARA FALLS – The Niagara Falls Bridge Commission announced Monday that E-ZPass, the automated toll-paying system the Thruway Authority offers to drivers, will be accepted starting Aug. 11 at the Rainbow, Whirlpool and Lewiston-Queenston bridges.

The E-ZPass system will supplement toll-card offerings already available on the bridges, including Express Pass and NEXUS. Those cards will continue to be accepted, although cardholders who also have E-ZPass will be encouraged to cancel the bridge-only toll cards, the commission said in a news release.

The standard bridge toll is $3.50 in U.S. funds, or $3.75 in Canadian money. Non-commercial vehicles that have electronic toll tags receive a 25-cent discount.
