NIAGARA FALLS – The city and the city school district are building a new playground at Gill Creek Park.
The $77,037 project will be split equally between the parties, with the city’s portion coming from a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The district’s funds come from its share of settlement funds from the New York Power Authority, also known as Niagara River Greenway money.
The City Council on Monday approved a bid from R.E. Woodson Inc. of Rochester, which was the lowest of three bids received by the city.
