NIAGARA FALLS – A Jerauld Avenue home was burglarized Sunday morning after the occupants went out for less than an hour, police said.
The victimized couple told police they left home around 10 a.m., returning 40 minutes later to find their home had been entered. A rear bedroom window screen was apparently the point of entry, according to reports, and the burglar left with more than $1,000 worth of property from the home, including a touchscreen laptop computer, an X-Box 360 video game system and six game cartridges.
Police said that a surveillance camera mounted in the bedroom where the break-in occurred was also stolen, but the footage from it may be available. An internet router was also stolen.
The victims told police the burglary was the fourth at their residence.
