Marching units, fire trucks, antique cars and more were judged as winners at last weekend’s Niagara Electric Lights Parade.
Here are the winners:
Floats: first place, J&J Strassburg Trucking; second, Niagara Falls Wrestling Club.
Music: first, Ghost Riders; second, Gordon’s Highlanders; third, Thorold Pipe Band.
Novelty: first, Niagara Clown Alley; second, Buffalo Clown Alley; third, SPCA Niagara.
Dance: first, Adell’s School of Dance; second, Jaclyn Carol’s Dance Academy; third, Time to Dance.
Decorated fire trucks: first, St. Johnsburg Fire Company; second, Sanborn Fire Company; third, Adams Fire Company.
Military marchers: first, Niagara Falls Police Department; second, Niagara County Sheriff’s Office; third, Niagara University ROTC.
Veterans guards : first, Road Runner; second, Gordon Highlanders.
Motor units: first place, the only award, Empire State West.
Antique cars: first place, Ransomville Speedway; second, NIMAC.
Marchers: first place, Boy Scout Troop 841; second, Scout Angels – Girl Scouts of Western New York; third, Cub Scouts Pack 849.
The parade is organized and presented by the Town of Niagara, the Town of Niagara Business and Professional Association and the Niagara USA Chamber.
The judging was conducted by NY-PENN Judging Association.
