WILSON – A 57-year-old motorcyclist from Lewiston remained in serious condition Sunday from injuries he suffered when he was ejected from his cycle on Saturday.

Stephen Olejar suffered “multiple fractures” in the 1:30 p.m. mishap near 3300 Braley Road, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said.

A woman whose car allegedly turned in front of Olejar and caused him to crash was charged with failure to yield the right of way. Police identified her as Dawne Flammger, 57, of the Town of Tonawanda.

Police said Olejar was westbound on his motorcycle when the oncoming vehicle driven by Flammger made a left turn into a parking lot, causing a collision with Olejar and hurling Olejar off his cycle.

A Mercy Flight helicopter crew flew Olejar to Erie County Medical Center, where he continues to receive treatment for serious injuries, police said.
