SANBORN – Niagara County Community College will host a free flu shot clinic today as part of a county Health Department emergency exercise.

It’s a test of the county’s ability to administer large amounts of medications from the Strategic National Stockpile quickly in case of a disaster.

For two hours, county crews will pretend to distribute antibiotics on campus as part of the test.

At 1 p.m. today, the test goes live with the goal of administering 200 genuine flu vaccinations in one hour.

In order to make this work, 200 people need to sign up for free flu shots online at https://apps.health.ny.gov/doh2/applinks/cdmspr.

The clinic will be held in the cafeteria of Building G.
