LOCKPORT – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County announced this week that it has decided to extend the deadline for this year’s Niagara County Fair logo contest to next Friday.
Because of snow days, many teachers in participating schools haven’t been able to work the contest in, spokeswoman Jennifer R. Grier said.
The community will be able to vote for the logo from March 10 to 17.
“A Good Thing Growing – Celebrating Niagara County Agriculture” is the theme of this year’s contest. First prize is $100, second prize $50 and third prize $25.
Contest details are at www.CCENiagaraCounty.org. Entries may be submitted in person at Cornell Cooperative Extension Administration Building, 4487 Lake Ave., Lockport, NY 14094, or mailed to that address, attention of Cathy Maloney, fair director.
