ALFRED – The body an 18-year-old Alfred State College student was found Friday in the Town of Almond by state and local law enforcement officers.
Eric Michael Green, the son of Alfred State College Distinguished Teaching Professor Michelle Green, was last scene alive when he left the Student Leadership Center on campus about 6 p.m. Monday.
He was reported missing Wednesday.
Foul play is not suspected but authorities would not discuss a cause of death.
He was enrolled in the college’s computer information systems program and lived on campus.
Valerie Nixon, Alfred State’s interim president, issued a statement Friday afternoon saying: “We would like to thank all of those who expressed concerns since the moment Eric was reported missing. Eric and the Green family have been part of our community for many years and we mourn his loss.”
