A 35-year-old Minnesota Avenue woman and a teenaged boy were arrested late Monday for allegedly threatening two men with knives and a baseball bat during an altercation at Bailey and Lasalle avenues.

Police on routine duty in the area heard the commotion and reported observing Danita Lee-Arrington swinging “two large knives in a threatening manner” at two men and the teenaged boy “swinging a baseball bat” at the two men, according to a police report. Lee-Arrington and the boy were both charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon for the knives and baseball bat. The two men they were allegedly threatening told officers they feared for their lives, according to the report. The cause of the alleged street altercation was not disclosed.
