Mary Lynne Kamens, a retired telecommunications specialist at PCI/Independent Health and Eucharistic minister in Buffalo, died Saturday in her Town of Tonawanda home. She was 67.
Ms. Kamens, known as Lynne by friends and family, was born in Buffalo and graduated from the former St. Margaret’s School in Buffalo.
She worked at Rich Products as a switchboard operator for several years, then began a career in telecommunications, beginning at the former Gold Dome Bank and continuing at PCI/Independent Health. She retired in July.
Ms. Kamens was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic minister.
Family members said she loved people and was vigilant in her effort to help those less fortunate through St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy and other organizations.
Survivors include two daughters, Traci Terlecky and Maggi; a brother, Jack Davis; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1085 Englewood Avenue, Town of Tonawanda.
