LOCKPORT – Two young women face felony charges after they allegedly cashed fraudulent payroll checks.
Alicia N. Smith, 19, of Akron Road and Jessica L. Graczyk, 20, of Ruhlman Road, both of Lockport were both charged Wednesday by Lockport police with second-degree forgery, possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny.
The two are accused of cashing two Mark’s Pizza paychecks, valued at $300 each, at the One Stop convenience store on Hawley Street. Both checks were declined by the bank and the owner learned that neither woman had worked there.
Both of them told police that they would pay back the store owner.
