LOCKPORT – Three defendants, two of them parole violators, pleaded guilty this week in Niagara County Court in connection with the Aug. 26 gunpoint robbery of three men on High Street in Lockport.
Thursday, Dominique Q. Houser, 23, of 19th Street, Niagara Falls, admitted to attempted second-degree robbery. The same plea was entered Wednesday by Rakeem J. Hamilton, 17, of Lincoln Avenue, Town of Lockport, and Tuesday by Jerquan M. Morange, 23, of Fairfield Avenue, Niagara Falls.
They are to pay $940 each in restitution for the thefts of property at gunpoint from inside a High Street home. Houser and Morange, who had been on parole for previous felonies, are to be sentenced Jan. 17; in both cases, County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas promised a sentence of no more than five years for the robbery, but it must be served after the parole time expires.
Hamilton, who is to be sentenced Jan. 10, is expected to be given a lesser sentence. Bail for him was set at $7,500.
