LOCKPORT – “Ripper,” an original play about Jack the Ripper, will premier Friday in the Palace Theatre on East Avenue.
Jon May, who is both the writer and director of “Ripper,” presents his original story based on one of history’s most reviled serial killers – Jack the Ripper.
The play is based in history and introduces the audience to some of Jack the Ripper’s victims in the slums of White Chapel in London 150 years ago.
In this version of history, audiences will get a chance to find out “the identity of Jack the Ripper,” according to May.
The show will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and next week Friday and Saturday, with 3 p.m. shows this Sunday and next Sunday.
Tickets are available online at www.lockportpalacetheatre.org or by phone at 438-1130 or at the box office at 2 East Ave. Tickets are $13 for students, $15 for senior citizens and $18 for adults.
