LOCKPORT – A Newfane man was arraigned in State Supreme Court Wednesday on a charge of beating a Lockport woman March 1.
Kewan D. Jackson, 23, of East Avenue, pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault.
A police report said an Amelia Street woman accused Jackson of beating her until she blacked out in a Washburn Street home. The victim told police Jackson called her names, so she threw water on him. Jackson allegedly punched her in the face repeatedly, knocking out a tooth and cutting her lip.
Jackson wasn’t arrested until June 5, when Lockport police found him at another fight scene.
