LOCKPORT – A former Town of Lockport woman, arrested with her boyfriend when police raided their basement methamphetamine lab April 30, was placed on five years’ probation Thursday.

Reading from a presentencing interview with a probation officer, Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas quoted Jessica L. Pittler as saying, “The raid was horrible, but it saved my life. Really, the Drug Task Force saved my life.”

Pittler, 23, and her boyfriend, Jonathan O’Dell, 22, were arrested on Fairview Drive in Lockport. They are now living in North Tonawanda with Pittler’s father. Both pleaded guilty to attempted third-degree unlawful manufacture of meth. O’Dell is to be sentenced next week.

Assistant Public Defender Michael E. Benedict said Pittler’s 6-year-old son was placed in foster care by authorities after the drug raid, and Pittler hasn’t seen the boy since.
