LOCKPORT – A Lockport man agreed Wednesday to a plea-bargain with a five-year prison sentence for knifing a Lockport woman and assaulting her son, now 5 years old.
Jermaine R. Webster, 34, of Vine Street, admitted to second-degree assault in the April 12, 2013, beating of the boy, and to attempted second-degree assault for the stabbing and beating the boy’s mother last April 29.
State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. said he will sentence Webster to five years in prison and three years’ post-release supervision when he returns to court Sept. 5.
The assault on the boy occurred shortly before Webster was sentenced to a year in jail for selling hydrocodone in Lockport twice in April 2012. The stabbing occurred after his release.
