LOCKPORT – The city will collect yard waste during the first and third weeks of every month, beginning April 21 and ending Sept. 15, City Clerk Richelle J. Pasceri announced.
The only exceptions will be the first weeks of July and August, which will be skipped.
The city requires yard waste, such as brush and hedge trimmings, leaves, mulch and old plants, to be placed either in kraft paper bags or in containers that weigh less than 40 pounds. Grass clippings are not accepted during these pickups.
