LOCKPORT – A Lockport woman who is serving time in state prison on a drug felony pleaded not guilty Thursday to a fresh drug indictment.

Jeanine L. Burton, 23, of Lincoln Place, is charged with third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. She allegedly sold cocaine to a police informant last June 21 in the City of Lockport while she was on parole from an 18-month prison sentence for a 2011 conviction for fifth-degree sale.

According to the state prison website, Burton is serving time in Albion Correctional Facility and will be behind bars until next March 5.
