LOCKPORT – “Christmastime in the City,” a full day of holiday events, is set from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Lockport.

The day begins with a free showing of the movie “The Elf” at 10 a.m. in the Historic Palace Theatre, 2 East Ave. After the movie, the award winners in the city’s coloring contest will be honored, following the lighting of a Christmas tree.

Papa Leo’s pizzeria on Main Street will host a noon story hour with Mrs. Claus and a free slice of pizza for all. Santa will be busy at the Dale Association, 33 Ontario St., from noon to 4. A petting zoo will be set up in the Canal Street parking lot. There also will be horse-and-cart rides.
