LEWISTO – The Niagara County Conservative Party unanimously endorsed Regina Scibilia Cecconi for Lewiston Town Clerk and incumbent William Conrad for Lewiston Town Board.
Cecconi of the Village of Lewiston and Conrad of Sanborn will both appear on the Conservative Party Line at the general election on Nov. 4. Both have also been endorsed by the Republican Party.
Conservative Party Chairman Daniel Weiss said when he announced the endorsement Wednesday that both candidates represent local conservative principles. He also noted that Cecconi is a member of the National Rifle Association and has publicly spoken out against the SAFE Act.
Cecconi said she’d like to give residents of Lewiston better access to government services, including Saturday business hours and online credit card payments. She recently received a masters certificate in Human Resource Management from Villanova University.
Conrad has been involved in public service for the past 20 years and is a licensed architect and certified code enforcement official. He served on numerous boards including the town zoning board of appeals before he was appointed on March to fill an open seat on the Town Board. He and his wife Lynne have been foster and adoptive parents for 15 years.
