LEWISTON – A new position has been created and a new person will join the Artpark administrative staff.
Carrie Veltri, the former director of development for major gifts at the University of Buffalo’s College of Arts and Sciences, will become the new director of development for Artpark.
“Artpark is very fortunate to have attracted a person of Carrie’s experience and expertise in this position,” said Artpark President George Osborne in announcing Veltri’s appointment.
He said the search committee, led by board member Jane Mogavero, conducted a national search to fill the position.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to design and execute a development plan for an organization with such a fabulous foundation and reputation,” Veltri said in a statement.
Veltri has previously held positions as director of development at the Center for the Arts at UB, Irish Classical Theatre, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and Planned Parenthood of Buffalo and Erie County. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Bethany College and master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
She serves on the board of directors of Music is Art and is the president of the board of the Lewiston Council on the Arts.
She and her husband and two children live in Niagara Falls.
