Some motorcyclists’ acts pose a risk to everyone

As I was on my way to work this morning, I again witnessed another case of irresponsible operation of a motorcycle.

After an entrance from an on ramp to the I-290 expressway at a very unsafe rate of speed, the operator pulled directly in front of me with no directional displayed, accelerated, then weaved in and out of traffic before disappearing from my view in a matter of seconds.

When are these individuals going to realize that they are extremely vulnerable to serious injury and sometimes death with this reckless behavior?

As an older, experienced operator of a more traditional American-made motorcycle, I am very troubled by these individuals that apparently have an attitude that they are bullet-proof.

I urge them that they think about how much they have to lose, not only for themselves but their families as well.
