Push for earlier beer sales doesn’t make any sense

They’re kidding, right? Do Assemblyman Sean Ryan and Scott Berchtold really think that the Assembly will believe the reasoning behind allowing earlier beer sales at Ralph Wilson Stadium is to restore some of the family environment?

Why would I want to leave a tailgate party with family, friends, good food, games and drinks? Why would I want to spend $9 for a beer (the 2013 price) inside the Ralph when I can drink the same beer bought at a local store for around $1 a beer at my tailgate party?

If the team wants to increase its concessions income so it looks better on the asset list, extend the sale of beer to the end of the third quarter throughout the stadium, not just in the premium seating areas.
