LOCKPORT – A Lancaster man pleaded guilty in a child pornography case Thursday in Niagara County Court.

Jonathan Libraire, 32, of Central Avenue, admitted to a reduced charge of attempted promoting a sexual performance by a child. Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth R. Donatello said she will recommend probation when Libraire returns for sentencing Feb. 25, but Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Farkas made no commitment. Libraire could go to prison for as long as four years.

Donatello said a Niagara County Sheriff’s officer, monitoring Internet traffic as part of an FBI task force, downloaded pornographic images from Libraire’s computer during February.
