A vehicle owned by State Sen. Timothy M. Kennedy, D-Buffalo, was broken into Tuesday evening and loose change was stolen, Kennedy’s office confirmed Wednesday.

The vehicle was parked at 200 Lakefront Blvd. when the rear passenger window was smashed and front passenger window was cracked with an unknown object, according to Buffalo police. Kennedy reported the theft about 8:15 p.m. The door trim to both passenger windows also was damaged, police said.
