JAMESTOWN – The arrest of a 16-year-old Jamestown boy for an attempted home burglary on Washington Street was announced Wednesaday by State Police.

The boy who was chased down and arrested in the W.13th Street area after he was reportedly spotted trying to break into a Washington Street home about 9:30 p.m. on April 23, was released to the custody of a guardian. He faces court proceedings for criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

The boy allegedly fled after a trooper driving on routine patrol heard the sound of a window breaking on a Washington Street home. After a foot chase the 16-year old was captured off W.13th Street. Because of the age of the suspect his identity was not released.
