JAMESTOWN – The origins of the “Tailgate Party” sweatshirt used by a masked bandit who staged the armed robbery of the CVS drugstore at 19 S. Main Street about 2:15 A.m. Wednesday has been identified by investigators, Jamestown police said Friday.

The logo was used by a now-closed corporation named “Steve and Barry’s” which had clothing outlets throughout the country, including at the Erie Mall and the Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga. The outlets all closed in 2008. They were known for their bargain prices for sporting wear.

Anyone who may recognize this logo on a sweatshirt belonging to a person they know is asked to contact the Jamestown Police at 483-7531. They also can make an anonymous tip at 483-8477.
