JAMESTOWN – An improper turn without a signal led to the arrest early Saturday of a Jamestown man on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies said they stopped Brian E. Truax II, 30, on West 6th Street in Jamestown at 3:05 a.m. and found him to be intoxicated.

A record check then showed Truax was convicted of driving while intoxicated within the past 10 years, which moved the new charge up to felony DWI.

Deputies said they also found a small amount of marijuana on Truax, who was issued a ticket to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.
