NEWFANE – A supervisor with Arc of Orleans County was assaulted by an unruly resident Friday morning during a client picnic at Krull Park, Niagara County sheriff’s deputies said.

The victim, an Albion resident, told deputies that the male client of the human services agency had been involved in a non-violent incident during the picnic and was being calmed by staffers when he became unruly.

The male client snatched eyeglasses from the face of the female supervisor and struck her across the face with them, according to reports. He then hit the woman’s hand, causing a minor cut. She refused medical treatment.

Thee client was transported to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for evaluation, deputies said. No charges were lodged.
