BATAVIA – Two hospital foundations are seeking nominations for the Genesee County Health and Humanitarian Award, an annual honor for notable volunteer service.
The Jerome Foundation began the award 30 years ago when it was a part of the former St. Jerome Hospital. It is now joined by its successor, the United Memorial Medical Center Foundation.
Jerome’s president Justin D. Calarco-Smith said he honor recognizes a man or woman who has helped promote emotional, physical and spiritual well-being in the community. It will be given at a luncheon Dec. 5 in Terry Hills Restaurant.
