A Hamburg woman was charged with felony driving while intoxicated Sunday after she was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint in West Seneca, state police reported.
Sara K. Cook, 31, showed signs of intoxication and failed roadside sobriety tests at about 7:40 p.m. at the Seneca Street exit ramp from the Aurora Expressway, troopers said. Cook was charged with felony DWI after a check of her driving record showed a conviction for DWI within the last 10 years, police said.
Police also said Cook refused to take a breath test and was driving without a state inspection sticker. She was issued traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear later in West Seneca Town Court.
