Five men, including four in the same Town of Boston family, were arrested during drug raids Friday by the Erie County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and Hamburg Police in a continuing crackdown on alleged local meth labs and LSD trafficking.
Glen Morgan, 32, was arrested in his home on Allen Road in the Town of Sardinia where sheriff’s detectives reported seizing more than a pound of marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and LSD. Morgan was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance charges and four misdemeanors, including a child endangerment count after a child was found in the home.
At a home on Omphalius Road in the Town of Boston, sheriff’s detectives and Hamburg police arrested Lawrence H. Musser, 60, and his sons – Jamie, 33; Lawrence, 31; and Thomas, 22 – on felony and misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance and weapons charges after the seizure of marijuana, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and weapons. Thomas Musser also was charged with resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration after fighting with Hamburg detectives.
Senior Detective Alan Rozansky, head of the sheriff’s narcotics unit, said his unit seized some alleged LSD in blotter form which the unit has not seen in several years. He said, “We are noticing continued growth of crystal meth use outside of the city and this is becoming a real issue in the rural areas.”
All five suspects were jailed at the Erie County Holding Center awaiting court proceedings.
