A federal court jury found a Williamsville man guilty Tuesday of tax evasion.
Carlo J. Marinello II, 68, will face up to three years in prison because of his conviction for obstructing Internal Revenue Service laws and failing to file personal and corporate income tax returns.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Russell T. Ippolito Jr. and John E. Rogowski said Marinello was the manager and owner of Express Courier Group/Buffalo Inc. and failed to report hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue to the IRS.
The jury verdict came after a trial before Chief U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny and after an investigation by the IRS’s Criminal Investigation Division.
